The Midnight MONSTERS t-shirt design. In 2020, I was asked to create a t-shirt design for the launch of The Midnight's upcoming album, MONSTERS. We chose the track Fire In The Sky as the inspiration and I got working on roughs.
This was the rough that felt close...
The design was then drawn pixel by pixel, refining and amending. The shirt had to work in 4 colours or less, a bit of a challenge given the light effect we wanted to achieve.
We spent a lot of time playing with the colours, adding elements to see what helped, and refining the character. We got there! Here's the final shirt design:
